In the center of Eggedal, you’ll find the heart of the village – a small historic hotel that has welcomed travelers, artists, and locals for generations. In the courtyard stands our new garden pavilion, where restored windows and old brickwork give the room a truly distinctive atmosphere. We also offer dedicated spaces for both meetings and celebrations, and outdoors, you’ll find comfortable seating where you can enjoy sunny days and good food. You’re also welcome to stop by our little general store for homeware and local treats.

Eggedal Borgerstue is a small, historic hotel with 16 charming, unique rooms. Here you are welcomed as a guest, not as a customer. And with Eggedal in the middle of the Artists' Valley, everything is in place to explore both nature, culture, and living history.

The pavilion is a quiet corner of the yard where people like to stay a little longer than planned. Pop-up bakeries occasionally appear here, and of course, we invite you to pizza nights where the stone oven takes center stage. It is also a perfect place for small gatherings – informal and just the right amount of relaxedness.

With us you get food that is made from scratch, just like people here in the valley have always done. We serve traditional food, simple, delicious dishes and baked goods that taste like home. We source our ingredients locally whenever possible, and we place great emphasis on good service and a quiet, pleasant environment. Our guests often highlight the taste, the portions and the atmosphere — and this has given us very good reviews from both visitors and the media.
